High Tea in Victoria Park

On a beautiful fall Saturday, Dan and I visited the Gardener’s Lodge in Victoria Park, a World-Heritage listed site, for afternoon high tea. The park borders Sydney Uni, complete with a lake and a swimming pool. The swimming pool was built in 1953 when passing a swimming test in primary school became mandatory.

The Gardener’s Lodge is a quaint, brick home that now houses a cafe.

We enjoyed tea and coffee with a beautiful selection of tea cakes, appetizers and desserts. The white chocolate brownies were delicious (so for those of you in Sydney, go check them out!). They looked like biscotti on the plate, but were really quite soft and delicious.

Dan says, “pinkies up!”
