The Coastal Walk: Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach

Another excellent (and free) Sydney activity we explored this Easter holiday was the Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk. It is a paved 6 km walk along the cliffs and beaches that stretch from Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach, with a few minor hills and stairs along the way.

Bondi Beach, where we started the costal walk.

We were impressed by the variety of beaches we encountered along our walk. It turns out, a beach is not just a beach. Each had its own character and its own specialty and showed us places we would not have otherwise found.

My favorite find was the underwater nature trail at Gordon’s Bay. The 600 meter trail goes from marked point to marked point, each spaced about 20 meters apart and detailed with information about what to look for at that area. As you snorkel along, you can see and learn about the variety of creatures that live in the bay.

We ended the walk with a few hours of sun with friends at Coogee Beach.

Easter holiday success #2.
